Presentation Olympics: Ach du Liebe – what a voice!
I am in Washington DC preparing for a training session tomorrow. I’ve been working on my laptop all afternoon – catching up on tons of work. Of course I have the Olympics on tv, playing in the background. I was so busy that I was not paying attention to it….. until “the voice” happened. I don’t know what his name is…. but the NBC cross-country commentator had such an exciting voice as he was describing the event that I developed goose bumps, my heart started pumping, and I abandoned my work. Wow! What a voice – full of emotion, energy, teetering on crackling – his voice made the event. He turned the guys shuffling through the snow into the most exciting event on the planet. Follow that example for your next presentation – put all of your voice (and heart) into it – make your message reverberate the enthusiasm you have for your topic. You will certainly captivate your audience. Now back to work.
