Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if the SpeakersTrainingCamp® is right for me and my team?
You can contact us for a free consultation to discuss your specific needs. Complete this simple submission form. We will quickly answer all of your questions. Our sessions are highly individualized so we can address the top priorities of our clients. We also guarantee 100% satisfaction with all of our training programs.

What is the difference between the SpeakersTrainingCamp® and becoming a Certified Trainer?
The SpeakersTrainingCamp® is a two-day program that is designed to help you become a better presenter. The Certification Program allows you to teach the SpeakersTrainingCamp® using our methods and materials, which have been developed over the last 20 years. After you attend our three-day program, you will be licensed to deliver the SpeakersTrainingCamp® within your organization or go into business on your own as a presentation skills trainer.

What does the fee include?

For the SpeakersTrainingCamp®, the fee includes two days of training, a workshop manual, a personal DVD with your presentations and feedback recorded, and a copy of the book, 101 Ways to Captivate a Business Audience.

For the Instructor Certification Program, the fee includes three days of training, an instructor’s manual, a personal DVD with presentations and feedback, a copy of the book, 101 Ways to Captivate a Business Audience, and a license to provide the SpeakersTrainingCamp®, using the copyrighted program and materials, as well as the rights to duplicate the materials.

How much speaking experience do I need before attending?

We work with all levels, from beginner to advanced, so your experience level does not matter. This program is so highly individualized that you will be coached on your particular strengths and weaknesses.

I don’t have a huge budget and I was wondering what other options you might have.

First, we’ll do everything we can to provide a program for you that will fit into your budget and needs. Another option is individual consulting. You can send us a DVD and we can provide personal coaching over the phone.

What makes the SpeakersTrainingCamp® different from other programs out there?
There are many reasons why the SpeakersTrainingCamp® is the #1 presentation skills training program in the country: First, all of the training is based on over 25 years of audience research which has been conducted by Sue Gaulke, founder of the SpeakersTrainingCamp®. What do audiences care about? That’s what we teach. Second, our system of organization is the simplest, most effective system ever used to put a presentation together. Third, our individualized coaching is unparalleled, and includes ongoing support. Fourth, our clients keep improving years after they leave our program because of our unique coaching techniques.

Are there any advantages to the on-site training?

With the on-site training, we can focus specifically on the needs of your group. For example, if you need some extra help with PowerPoint®, we’ll spend extra time on that – or any other topic. Another advantage is that the trainees will be able to provide feedback to each other during presentations in the company. This really helps long-term improvement.

How many people attend the camp?

The SpeakersTrainingCamp® is designed for 10-12 people. This allows for maximum learning and improvement. However, with on-site programs we sometimes work with larger or smaller numbers at the client’s request.

Are there options other than the two-day camp?

For on-site programs we will work with your time requirements and budget. We provide keynotes, half-day and full-day camps in addition to the regular two-day camp.

Will I notice a difference after attending your program?

Absolutely yes! Most clients notice they are: More confident, able to organize a presentation in half the time, more interesting, more dynamic, more comfortable handling questions and sticky situations, and more effective with visual aids such as PowerPoint®.
